Tuxedo/Formal Shoes

Tuxedo/Formal Patent Leather Shoes
You have to wear formal shoes with a tuxedo. This means that you need either patent leather or highly-shined shoes.  A shiny shoe goes along with other components of a tuxedo (such as the satin lapel) and creates a completed look.  A formal shoe can be either a slip on or a lace-up (a lace-up shoe is more formal) , and should not be overly embellished.  Simplicity is the key here, as a formal shoe should mimic the tuxedo's timelessness.

You should avoid overly chucky shoes for a classic look. Oh, and formal socks (made of silk or a very light fabric) are a must too.  But you already knew that.

  4. I “invested” in luxury suiting from Herringbone & Sui for my 40th wedding anniversary, and although it was quite expensive, the fit, the fabric and the overall look and feel is pure brilliance. Loved it!
